“When I play the piano I feel like I’m in my own world,” said
Bradley Moler, a young man of thirteen who not only plays the
piano, but he also writes his own songs.
Moler started playing the piano when he was only ten-years-old.
He always played around on his grandparents’ grand piano, but
didn’t start lessons until 2007. His parents realized
early on that he had a passion for the piano and for Christmas
they bought him his very first keyboard and lessons
“It wasn’t very hard with a good teacher like I had, but it did
take a lot of practice and determination,” said Moler, “but I
pressed on.”
Moler excelled at piano by the next year. Then he tried
something different--he actually started to write his own song,
an alternative rock piece with keyboard.
He wrote the lyrics as an assignment in his Language Arts class
and has since put them to music. The song is called “The Cage of
Life.” Now, he is inspired to write more songs and put
them to piano music.
"When I play the piano I feel like I can do anything," said
Moler. "Playing the piano is a great skill and fun to do,
but it all comes down to practice and hard work." |
