TAVARES, FL-- The Tavares girls volleyball team continued its
undefeated streak and moved its record to 4-0, defeating Eustis
(25-14, 25-9).
Eustis had got the first point of the first game but Tavares
followed with six unanswered. The game continued on like this with
many digs and amazing serves by all the players as Tavares led the
entire rest of the way.
Leslie Lee, the coach of the girl’s team, said that the hardest part
of the game was getting everyone in the game. A match in volleyball
is best two out of three the TMS girls team haven't even been pushed
to a third game this season.
The
Patriot boys, however, lost their match in two games at 20-25 and
18-25.
“I
like the way the boys stuck together. They were down but they
stayed together they stayed positive and played together.
Eustis just did a better job serving tonight than we did,” said
Patriots coach Tony Fazio.
The
boys team played hard but had just few too many serving problems.
Eustis had the lead for the entire first game, even though Tavares
rallied late with six straight points. |
